What to Expect
Visiting a church service can be an unsettling experience. Whether you’re coming back to church or you’re trying it out for the first time, we know this is a big step for you. Our prayer is that after your visit, you will begin to rethink your perspective on God and the Church.
The following is your guide to visiting Oasis.
- What are your services like?
Our services are warm, comfortable, safe, energetic, and very challenging.
- How do you worship?
We make use of instruments, our voices, and our bodies (clapping of hands, the lifting of hands in surrender to God).
- How do I get there?
From Joplin, head north on Rangeline to Zora. Turn Left (west) and there you'll see us! Find us on Google Maps.
- When should I get there?
Several of our staff members and some of our congregation will be there 30 minutes prior to the beginning of service. Feel free to arrive anytime.
- How should I dress?
There is no dress code for our services, you're free to come in your "Sunday Best" or in casual attire.
- What will my kids do?
We have several ministry options available for children and youth. We have classes and activities for children in the nursery through elementary school ages at every service.
- Who can I talk to about a life issue?
Any member of our staff is available to answer questions about the church and to help you with anything you'd like to talk about. You can also find our staff member's email addresses or contact us on our contact page. A member of our staff will respond to each contact made through this site.
- I visited the church, now what do I do?
“Come back!” At Oasis you are part of our family the moment you decide to be!
